During the 1988 Seoul Olympics, 22 workers died in a fire in Anyang. They had been locked up in a dormitory by their boss and were trapped like rats. Hardly anyone remembers this event. But the more glorious past of Anyang (a Buddhist term for "paradise") is also remembered by few. Thousand years ago, for example, there was a huge temple in Anyang.
