Tomboy (2011)

Laure, a 10-year-old girl, moves with her family to a suburb outside Paris. She assumes herself as a boy, 'Michael', and under this new identity she finds herself involved in different situations, as happens with Lisa, a girl from her new group of friends who is attracted to Michael. Written and directed by Céline Sciamma, this drama is narrated with utter sensitivity and moments of humor, featuring remarkable performances by its young actors and actresses, most notably Zoé Héran in the leading role.
