Peti-B (2010)

'Peti-B, for classification purposes, is a 'docu-phenomenology/cine-blog' relating the experiential evolution of the filmmaker from initially wanting to create a satire on Poverty to ending up confronting and challenging her deeper motivations for aspiring to become a filmmaker. Besides its personal subjectivity, this cine-blog is also a social commentary on the dangers of desensitization/learned helplessness of Filipinos (particularly the elite) to Poverty and Human Rights Violations. This is a film that nudges at armchair revolutionaries to get off of their comfortable seats of Theory to become actual catalysts of progress.
