In 2010, documentary filmmaker George Clipp visited the Philippines for a holiday. However he soon became fascinated and absorbed into the ongoing local and national political elections. Staying in a small provincial town he soon got to meet local candidates and experienced the election unfold firsthand. The resulting film addresses the role of corruption, lies and family ties in deciding who will rule in provincial politics. Joining a candidate for Vice-Mayor throughout his election campaign the film offers an insight into the complicated and often compromised world of Filipino elections.
