The High (1985)

The movie is about two brothers from a middle-class family, a chemist and his brother, who works in petty jobs, takes drugs and mingles with the wrong crowd. To discourage him from this path, the chemist concocts a mix of hash that doesn't include any narcotic substance to convince his brother that addiction is a fiction and a delusion. When the brother finds out the trick, he tries to convince his chemist brother to cook some more to sell as an alternative to the addictive hash. Facing economic difficulties, the chemist brother agrees, but the cocktail attracts the attention of a powerful drug lord who tries to convince the chemist to work for him. As the latter refuses to work for the drug lord, the lives of the two brothers spirals out of control.
