Delhi-based Sandip Kapoor, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife, Priya, had started his business, Promodome, with just Rs.15000/-, which, after a lot of hard work and diligence, has now grown to Rs.15 Crores. Just when he was preparing to make presentations to overseas clients, Commissioner I.M. Gupta issues demolition orders under the Urban Land Ceiling Act after determining that the business was located in a residential zone. Unable to even enter the premise, Sandip, with the assistance of a con-man, Bakshi Jugaad, rents a building without any water supply and electricity. He makes arrangements for tankers to deliver water and has diesel generators provide electricity. Hoping to make a stand until his lawyer resolves this issue, he is unprepared when his employees resign after informing him that they simply cannot stand the stress of seven hours travel back and forth. As if that was not enough of a shock, he is then informed by an enraged Commissioner that the matter is now personal as two of Sandip's employees had attempted to blackmail him - and the building will soon be demolished.
