Hay Road (2012)

This is the story of a man returning to his homeland after years of isolation to avenge his brother's death. Inspired by Thoreau's 'Civil Disobedience', set between 1908 and 1910 during Portugal's transition to a republic, he confronts corruption, tyranny, and anarchists while trying to protect his family in a country resistant to change.
