Trouble with the Curve (2012)

Gus is a veteran baseball scout who is losing his eyesight and his daughter Mickey (from whom he is estranged) accompanies him on a trip to Atlanta to meet a promising young talent. Even with this being the excuse, the family reunion soon brings up old arguments, softened by the presence of Johnny, a former player discovered by Gus. A melodrama with the theme of sports recruiting that delves into a father-daughter bond, warmly portrayed by Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams.
