Dawn to Dusk is an extraordinary journey into the world and philosophy of 70 year-old artist Peter M. Hicks. A near-abstract landscape painter who favours atmosphere over replication, Peter meditates on the exceptional beauty of the North York Moors in North East England from dawn to dusk and from the moors to the sea, guiding us with his personal insight through the creative process from conception to completion. Filmmaker Nicholas Turner intimately documents the reciprocal relationship between the land and the artist and the artist with his art, in a celebration of the human spirit heightened by a beautiful soundtrack by colourmusic.
