Hong Xian (2011)

In 1971 Jiaunguo's grandparents meet for the first time thanks to a ball of red yarn. Some 20 years later, Jiaunguo and Xue as toddlers meet the same way. As they grow up, China does as well, modernizing at a rapid pace. Their paths cross on many occasions through the years until fate finally brings them together, for they are bound by the red thread of destiny.
