Gevaarlike Spel (1962)

Diamond detective Sergeant Louw is given the difficult task of pursuing Reg Regallo a nightclub owner and diamond smuggler. However, Regallo is a wily rogue and the poor detective fails time and time again. Sergeant Louw sees his opportunity when Regallo seeks a very rare five-carat blue diamond to give to his girlfriend, a nightclub singer. The barman at the nightclub introduces Regallo to Tim Jackson (aka our detective), and the purchase transaction takes place. Regallo outwits the unlucky detective and he gets away with the precious gem. Regallo and his cronies then go to Mozambique for another deal. This time Sergeant Louw is ready for him. Regallo is caught in the act with the help of Regallo's girlfriend who, all-the-while, was a police informant.
