Al Smead is a legendary performer in the Syracuse area. His performances are riveting. His stories are intriguing. His personality is endearing. This is his story. For over 20 years, Al has been an unforgettable presence on the local music scene. His bands have included Squeeze and the Blackheads, Vicious Rumours, Psychotic Option, Schmied, Small Girl Boils Water, Grendels Boot, Papership, and currently (for the last 13 years) Undergang. Featuring recently found original recordings of Al's earliest bands, photos, and interviews and input from Syracuse's most colorful and well known scenesters and musicians.
