Created by Dr. Suzanne Friedman. This DVD presents a medical qigong exercise set based on the Jiji and Tai Hexagrams; two main hexagrams in Daoist spiritual practice. The first section balances the fire and water energy of the heart and kidneys. The second section balances the yin (earth) and yang (heaven) of the whole body. The exercises in this fifteen minute workout video were designed to promote and maintain health, restore energy levels, and calm the mind. Qigong practice combines the use of breathwork, physical movement, and intention. Affirmation, visualization, and imagination are all utilized to enhance qi flow to particular target areas in the body. As the Chinese say, "Where the mind goes, the qi follows." There is an extra thirteen minute training notes video track narrated by Dr. Suzanne Friedman to give insight and background on each specific movement of the exercise.
