Climate change is daunting. We have mostly agreed that it's happening. But it's big and what can we do about it anyway? What about cyclone-powered electricity grids? Or lightning-run barbeques? Or dog saliva showers? These are some of the ingenious ideas suggested by Year 5 children in this documentary about creative solutions to climate change. The documentary showcases the artworks created by students in the Climate Changers workshops. A science educator and artsworker ran these workshops to teach kids about climate change and help them create artworks exploring possible solutions. Their artworks went on to be exhibited at Queensland Museum during National Science Week 2011. The children's ideas are delightfully creative and funny, but also insightful. You'll never think about dog saliva in the same way again!
