Miw is the last elephant shaman in Thailand. He is 85 years old and a member of the Kui minority, the most skilled elephant handlers in the region. They once caught and trained wild elephants in the forest. That all ended in the 1960s. In 2011, when villagers threatened to kill a marauding elephant, Miw was asked by the Thai government to help them one final time. This is the story of his last chance to pass on his knowledge to the next generation and what happened to the elephant they encountered.
