Le combat silencieux (2012)

-In documenting his mother Nathalie Giguère's battle with breast cancer, Samuel Matteau has created an impressionistic film essay in which art, boxing, illness and fear come together. They illustrate a journey in the face of illness, but above all the evolution of a relationship between a mother and son, long estranged from each other. With his camera, Samuel guides us through a flood of emotions, images and reflections in which his mother, a silent woman, a fighter and an artist, gives herself up, naturally, to the gaze of her filmmaker son.
