Monday Night Rock Gods documents the open mic night at the Station in Carrboro, North Carolina. The Station was the location of REM's first foray out of Athens, Georgia in the late 1970's. Now, every Monday night in this small, sleepy, Southern town, a tight-knit, talented group of rock musicians get together there to enjoy their fifteen minutes of fame. With an MC that keeps the show moving along smoothly and keeps the crowd pumped-up, this is the one place that is packed on a Monday night. Filmmakers Cameron Price and Alec Grossman set out to determine why so many talented musicians make this spot their home and why Carrboro, North Carolina has become such a hot-bed for music.
