Since 1737, The Sisters of Charity of Montreal, "Grey Nuns", have maintained their mission of love, respect, and compassion for poor and deprived people as it was defined by their Founderess, Sainte Marguerite d'Youville. However, poverty, loneliness and exclusion transcend time. This documentary feature chronicles their last chapter, as they seek to return the 250-year-old mortal remains of Saint Marguerite, from Mother House in Montréal, Canada to her birthplace in Varennes, Québec. Faced with the imminent end of their order, the Sisters recount their story of survival, their legacy and their hopes for the future.
