In the 1970's, Doctor Andretta's more personal method of handling patients causes much judgment from the presiding Senior Doctors. After having to deliver devastating news to his most recent patient, a huge weight is placed on his shoulder, as he begins to question his methods. When a terrified mother brings in her only son, who had just drowned and now is without a pulse, the presiding Senior Doctor immediately declares the case a lost one, and walks out. However, Doctor Andretta risks his job by defying his senior's orders, demanding to stay and treat the young child until he can come back to life. Will his perseverance, passion, and morals with his doctoral knowledge be enough to save the child, and redeem himself?
