Veronika (2011)

Illustrated by marvelous sand paintings, the film dives into the hidden world of Veronika. As a child she was certified by an IQ of zero, she is autistic, and multiply physically disabled. Nobody could imagine that Veronica has a wide-awake mind. Now, as adults, she has learned to make herself understood through an elaborate system of signs. She studies and writes stories. The film is a sensitive portrait of an extraordinary person and an insight into a world that is normally closed to the environment.
