City Strays (2013)

Two twenty-something childhood friends, Liza and Elliot, reunite and spend a day together with the mission of finding a lost golden retriever in their hometown. On the way, the bumbling gumshoes begin to discover unsaid feelings for each other, confusion about the current state of their lives, and a kinship that can only arise in quarter-life crisis commiseration. The mystery of the golden retriever takes them all the way from the dark alleys of their hometown to the shady depths of their unsung feelings and desires for each other. CITY STRAYS is a film about what it is to feel lost, and the many ways we avoid being found.
