The 1980s saw the birth of prairie post-modern cinema, a Winnipeg art movement that gained major international acclaim in the 1980s. At the center of the movement, was the subversive punk renegade Greg K., who produced and distributed every major film out of Winnipeg in that era, as well as created and starred in the cult classic Winnipeg TV show Survival.
