Las maestras de la República (2013)

The Republican Teachers were brave and committed women who participated in the conquest of women's rights and in the modernization of education, based on the principles of public and democratic schooling. This documentary, through the recreation of a teacher of the time and previously unpublished archive images, reveals the wonderful legacy that the Republican teachers have left us and that has survived to this day. Based on testimonies from researchers and family members, we will learn about the historic moment that these teachers lived through and their participation in the social transformation of our country through education.
