The London Godfather is a tale of shattered friendships and crossed loyalties; of a life that makes a man question who he is every second of every day. In this film we see the realities of living on the other side, endless highs and bottomless lows, no security, no trust, no purpose. It's a vision of heartbreak, violence and endless pain. The setting is Sixties' London, a time when the gangs of Britain threaten to take over the country, when large areas of inner-cities fall completely under the control of the mobsters. Gangs, who after years of feuding, are now starting to organize into 'firms.' Life is cheap and violence is harsh. The kids of this generation grew up in the bomb-torn rubble of the Second World War, characters forged from poverty and strong family loyalties, and clan mentalities. From this brutal environment, one man rises above the rest. Sculpted from a strong sense of right and wrong, he builds a fearsome reputation. To him there are no boundaries in London, no East, no South; he effortlessly crosses whichever path he choses. The story of this man is entangled amongst the many urban myths and legendary of the gangs of the era, but his story is unique. His is the story of a man who stays true to himself no matter the consequence. Feared by many, loved by all, this is a man amongst men. This is the story of Joey Pyle... The London Godfather.
