Based on poems by Manoel de Barros, Wenceslau, a young boy, lives with his family in a small town in the Brazilian country. Through his grandfather's writings, he discovers poetry and the beauty of small things. A tree that grows mysteriously from a gramophone, inside the house, will separate the grandfather from the family.
