CHRIST ROOM presents a day in the life of a hospitality house in Durham, NC where Episcopal priests and lay Church members welcome formerly homeless men to live rent-free. The Rev. Dr. Colin Miller shares his experience as founder of the Maurin House Catholic Worker house: a place where community can be formed through daily prayer and meals with people who would not otherwise meet. This short film presents a glimpse into a modern day intentional community in the tradition of Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin's Catholic Worker movement of the 1960s. Is this kind of life together possible? This film explores this question and the tensions created when people from different walks of life come together under one roof.
