Buffeted by glacial Arctic winds, halfway between Norway and the North Pole, the last stop before the end of the world is called Longyearbyen. This small town has the peculiarity of welcoming immigrants from all over the world who hold neither permit nor visa. Forty-four nationalities are represented on the island. The only condition for being allowed to stay is the ability to provide for one's own needs. At Longyearbyen, births are not really authorized, but then neither are deaths ... it is a place for passers-through which is difficult not only to live in, but also to leave.
