Multiplex (2015)

Multiplex tells the story of Andy Samson. Andy is a relatively sheltered, business-driven college senior. As his college career draws to a close, Andy encounters a series of unfortunate circumstances. Due to both his own poor decisions and the actions of an obsessive ex-girlfriend, Andy fails one of the last classes he needs to graduate and receive his diploma. In order to pay for summer school, Andy is forced into taking a job at a small, local movie theater. Rather than spending the summer searching for a high profile job in the city, Andy finds himself stuck in a small town scooping popcorn for minimum wage. The film follows Andy's exploits as he juggles both his job and his summer courses, the on-going presence of his obsessive ex-girlfriend, and his ever-growing crush on Carly, the mysterious girl who runs the theater's projection booth. As Andy's summer progresses, he forms unlikely bonds with the array of interesting and dynamic individuals who work at the theater. Through his experiences with his fellow employees, Andy finds himself forging new aspirations and priorities in life.
