The summer before going off to college, wealthy Akron Ohio native Anthony Covaelli is determined to rebuild his classic 1967 Corvette. He enlists the help of Mark Ganley. Mark, the son of a local cop is a gifted mechanic who was recently released from prison after serving time for attempted murder.The pair teach each other from very different perspectives about life and love. Anthony helps Mark deal with his family issues and Mark helps Anthony to navigate his first romance with Rachael. Twists and turns not only involve the 'vette as we share Anthony and Mark's entanglements with both a crooked cop and Rachael's on-again off-again boyfriend.
