In the winter of 2013, six (6) young Cree Native men with a guide trekked 1600 kilometers from the Cree community of Whapmagoostui to Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario. The purpose of this journey was to unite First Nations youth in Quebec and Ontario to show the world that Aboriginal culture is alive, strong, and thriving. The journey was named "The Journey of Nishiiyuu". It was one of greatest achievements of that year by Aboriginal youth of North America and it went viral worldwide. The six-week Journey ended in Ottawa Ontario at Parliament Hill on March 25th, 2013 with over 70 countries around the world watching.
