In nine collections, seven prizes and two anthologies published in France where she lives since 1982, the Syrian poetess Maram Al Masri became one of the great voices of the contemporary poetry. She sings wounded love, exile, fate reserved for the women or the ravages of war, she speaks with a simplicity which touches the heart and joins a vast public. Her poetry is translated in numerous languages. This film, arisen from a meeting between a poet and a filmmaker, mix poetry and sensual images which reflect the poetic language and its breath of freedom.
