Still Life (2014)

Jazmín, a journalist, becomes obsessed with finding a story that will bring her back to prime time television and while covering a small town story she discovers the disappearance of a young woman. As her investigation progresses, more people linked to the livestock industry or consumerism begin to disappear. Animal abuse naturalized over the years seems to take a sinister form and she wants revenge. Jazmín must find the origin of this horror. Still Life, director Gabriel Grieco's debut feature, is a bold critique that intertwines escape, mystery and the classic visual rawness of the genre.
