Jordan is 27. His father Hanno is 81. Despite their tumultuous father-son relationship (father former painter, boxer, and adventurer; son skateboarder and drummer) the two embark on a road-trip to Hanno's childhood home in order to attend his 60th High school reunion. Because of his father's failing health, Jordan has been forced to take on a more parental role in his father's. Also along for the ride is Anne-Laila, Hanno's illegitimate Swedish granddaughter; a product of Hanno's colorful past. To make matters more complicated Hanno is wheelchair-bound due to an amputated leg. Falling 'Slowly is an Art' follows this unusual team throughout their emotional adventure. Filmed in Vienna and the Austrian Alps, this off-kilter documentary is at the same time touching, unusual, and inspiring.
