Diamond X (2014)

Diamond X is a criminal mastermind who singlehandedly lifted over $500,000,000 in diamonds and ran a credit card scam that spanned 7 states. FBI agents followed him for over 20 years. A founder of the Crenshaw district's LA Crips, 'X' was respected by all the neighborhood gangstas and players as a 'legend'. Featuring interviews with Ice-T, Jason Neff, the attorney who won his acquittal, Dr. Leslie Kaye, PHD and numerous neighbor gangstas. This film explores how childhood role models and environment influence criminal activity as well as looking at the strength and determination it takes to rise to the top of the heap. Without glorifying crime, we examine what 'X' could have become in a different environment.
