In 2010, Muscular Dystrophy New South Wales (MDNSW) became the first Australian disability service provider to offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Since then, 17-year-old Melanie Tran has become their most successful Participant in the modified scheme and is about to complete her penultimate Gold Award.
