First Spaceship to Venus -Revisioned (2014)

Some scientists while excavating the site of an ancient crashed spaceship find a long buried ancient flight recorder which they assume came from Venus. After managing to translate some of the recording a rocket is crewed and sent to Venus. When they land they find the remains of a long dead Venusian civilisation who had built a device intended to kill all life on earth so they could take over the earth. But before the could manage to destroy all life on earth they destroyed themselves in a Venus wide nuclear explosion.
