After the sudden divorce of his parents, a defiant 16-year- old sophomore, Tre Williams finds himself living with his maternal grandmother. Sharon, Tre's mom, reluctantly sent her son with her 'take no mess' mother, Bernadette, also known around town as "Granny B."
