My Buddy (2014)

In the near future, MANNY REY is a lonely old man who lives vicariously through the old movies, game shows, and sitcoms he watches on TV. Looking for a friend, Manny orders WIN, an android butler from an infomercial. Together, these two unlikely characters develop an unforgettable friendship. Produced by fourth year Ryerson University students from Toronto for their final thesis project. My Buddy was inspired by a 1940s live recording of the eponymous song which appears on the bonus disc of Arcade Fire's 'Funeral'.
