Make A Film - Go To Prison. National Geographic meets Midnight Express. In 2011 I was directing a documentary in West Africa following migrants intent on reaching Europe. In Mauritania I was arrested and thrown into Dar Naim death prison by president Aziz and charged with shooting a film against the interest of the state. I faced mafia terror, disease and inmate violence daily. I survived to make this film about my amazing journey.
