Loofo (2014)

Loofo is a cross-genre hybrid, a dark comedic thriller, an always funny and quirky yet simultaneously grim satire of the 'coming of age' trope, situated in a world of mass surveillance. Loofo is a not-coming-of-age story. It centers on a young twenty-something named Loofo, a man bored with his very existence, and the trials and tribulations he goes through as he accidentally finds himself involved with an insurrectionist techno-terrorist group that is frankly pretty bad at what it's trying to do (if it can even decide what that is). Not to spoil the film, but to spoil the film, things do not turn out well. At least for the faction. Or maybe for Loofo. Or maybe for neither.
