Bienvenue chez nous - La gang à Richibouctou Village (2014)

In a little fishing village in New-Bruswick, the villagers gather on the docks for the blessing of the boats. It is the official opening of lobster-fishing season. Meanwhile, a film-production crew arrives in the village, and sets up their production office in the local Community Centre. For the next two months, a feature film, "La gang des hors-la-loi", will be shooting here, so the locals have plenty to talk about. During this summer of 2013, Richibouctou-Village is transformed by this flurry of unexpected activity, that stimulates the curiosity and excitement of the villagers, some of whom see this as an occasion to put their little village "on the map." Through this, we get to know a community as authentic as it is engaging and friendly, and who, against all odds, maintain their strong Acadian identity.
