Mr. Kraus never stopped being a good actor. Because he never was. His tragedy is that he never knew or suspected it. He never admitted that he had no talent. Of course, he was not successful, but he saw the reason for his failure in other things, in the lack of opportunity for a good role, in the inability to "forge ahead". Perhaps a series of circumstances and examples easily gave him that idea. But what about his talented ex-wife?
