'Mina' is about the monster inside of everyone. In this particular story, Nicola's monster manifests as a part of her physicality. Nicola's monster was created from her rage and fear of her parents, who tortured her psychologically and Physically. On the other hand, she still has an innate love for them. Because of this, she is torn between revenge and a longing for their embrace and love. She is, after all, their daughter. How much control does she have? Is that all there is?
