When the Greek military seized power in 1967, the composer Mikis Theodorakis called for resistance against the dictatorship. The junta prohibited the performance of his music and tried to arrest him. Three months later, they found and placed him under secret service arrest. In his cell, suspended between life and death, he wrote 36 lyrical texts in an almost euphoric state of mind. He set 17 of these poems to music which he called the cycle "Sun & Time". This is a documentary about depression and resistance during the Junta time and about the concert "Sun & Time" which took place in Berlin with the rock musician Rainer Kirchmann and the Greek singer Maria Farantouri in November 1998.
