A Northern Song (2018)

Living in a small town in remote Northern Ontario, Dan Kirkman has tried to be a good husband, a good father and, struggling against his deep-seated regrets, a good man. But on this cold, winter day, life as he has known it, no longer exists. Chrissy, the troubled mother of his child, has disappeared - again and his beloved daughter, who he had naively thought was his, has been handed over to his in-laws. Hunting rifle in hand, and longing to find solace or, at least, some resolution, he takes himself into the woods. This is how it is in the North: unfair, uncertain, and unforgiving.
