A quirky widow decides to take her just-deceased husband's urn home from the cemetery, which gives her basically nice but otherwise horrible descendants the idea of seizing their father's not-so-small inheritance. Because they lack the wit and thoroughness (which, incidentally, their mother excels at) to carry out their perfectly concealed plan, everything ends in ruin and therefore the whole play has an unexpected happy ending.
