A Space for Growth (and Cuts) (2018)

In a salon, transformation is somewhat of a given, but for business owner and community organizer, Pony Lee, it represents a personal journey for himself, his staff and his clientele. Pony takes us inside his Los Angeles-based salon, where he has created a safe space for "dames, gents and folks in between". Through his perspective on the "beauty myth" and finding a sense of community that magnetizes growth, Pony demonstrates that equality and breaking down gender roles should be more than a business model, it's a way of life.
