The Ghost in the Kamera (2018)

Maya, a 9 year old girl, lives with her single mom in the countryside. She loves her toy camera and spends her holiday taking photos of her favourite things. One day, a package is delivered from a storage company, containing items belonging to her Dedushku, her Russian Grandfather. Despite being forbidden by her mother, she is intrigued by the Soviet-era markings and opens it to find: a vintage super 8 film camera with a cartridge ready to load. She happily rolls the camera and sends it off for processing. However, when processed, the reel appears to contain images that she had never filmed - Grainy, flickering images of a lady in a traditional Russian dress float across the objects she had shot. A spectre that is strangely familiar. Is Dedushku's 'kamera' haunted? If it is, the only way to confirm it would be to expose another roll of film. But do they make film anymore?
