A Date in Portland Street (1995)

Cheung Mun leaves China and puts himself through Art School in Europe. He keeps in contact with his wife Lok Siu Man in China only through letters. One summer vacation, the couple make an agreement to meet up in Hong Kong. The two rent a cheap motel room in Mongkok but quickly discover a gap between them. Cheung Mun's Western way shocks Siu Man, and Siu Man's reserved olden ways upsets Cheung. Hong Kong, a strange land to both, widens the gap even more.
