Coil (2020)

Alone at home in Montreal, a visual artist, strong in character, plunges deep into a world of insecurities and hallucinations, some sourced from her childhood in Iran, some from her immigration to Canada. Her Quebecois boyfriend, supposedly working on a documentary in Cuba, was not honest about his destination. Speaking Persian fluently, he might be in a war zone in the Middle East: Iraq, Syria or even maybe in Iran.
